The training is meant for psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, special educators, school doctors and social workers, while counseling for children and adolescents can also include educators.
The programme is based on a developmental approach to children and young people, incorporating humanistic and integrative approach (Gestalt, TA, IA) and Self psychology, as well as theories of personal relations.
The program enables candidates to acquire professional and academic experience, with special emphasis on clinical skills, professional competence, personal development, fulfilling the requirements for clinical practice that ensures a high level of education and research.
Training lasts for 2 or 4 years depending on the direction and previous training. Upon completion of the training and passing the exam, candidates receive a European license that qualifies them for a child and adolescent psychotherapist or a counselor.
